I like this song because I heard it performed on the first season of the American version of The Voice by Vicci Martinez. I honestly thought she was going to win. That season allowed the contestants to perform their own songs on the show.
I enjoy talking about the subject of the song as well. I emphasize to my children that if someone is in this kind of situation, then Jolene is not the main problem.
